Where to stay

Socotra island is an eco-tourism system, fairly new to the international tourism market.

The accommodation might be not at the same international standard that one would expect in a more developed country. We believe that this only adds an authentic atmosphere to the visit of the island.

Accommodation services on Socotra have been significantly developed recently. Luxurius hotels or resorts with swimming pools and private beaches are not available and it is an open question whether they would be desirable for Socotra at all.

You can choose from five hotels in Hadibo (funduk and just one 4-star), a couple of eco-lodges situated in the outskirts of the capital town, six eco-campsites in different sites around the island (Protected Areas) and camping in the wild nature, on the seaside or on the mountains.
